Well here we go again!! Photo shoot #1. Londyn was really cute she had to get involved. This month did go by fast and I'm sure I will be saying that every month. Preslie has a new background, Londyn shag carpet is almost black now. She did have to use the monthly pictures as a hand me down. But contrary to what everyone says I am treating the 2nd child equally. I'll be comparing Preslie and Londyn monthly picture to see the difference and if they look a like. So far I think they have resemblance. Preslie Sienna 1 month 8 pounds
It's been a long month. I was planning on going to see my parents in Maryland for labor day weekend but my mother had a great thought. I'm not doing anything why not come all week. It was really nice to get away. We had many things planned and Prelsie slept through most of it. Since she couldn't participate in much I took some pictures of her.
Today we were visited by Miles Lavander. Kim is a friend from kindergarten and Miles is her 3rd child, God bless her. We have been complaining to each other about how bored we were so she made a quick pop in just to get out of the house. Even thought they look like they are months apart they are only a little over a week apart. I believe he was close to 10 pounds and in this picture he was 11 lbs. Preslie first play date
My mother told me the 2nd child is different and that's for sure. I was a little nutty with Londyn and this time I am more relaxed. I can't remember waking Londyn up every 2 hours to feed but I know I did because I was a tired mess. This time I didn't take doctors orders and wake Preslie up. I figured she was a decent weight born, went full term and if she was gaining weight at her 2 week well visit I was doing something right. I am breastfeeding and bottle feeding, easiest for me. This time I didn't care what anyone said about breastfeeding I was going to do what I wanted and what was easiest for me. Last time I think that's what sent me into post p depression. Everyone had a comment. I'm not sure why when you say I just had a baby the first question is are you breastfeeding. It really is no ones business how I am raising my child. Especially for a new mom people make it like breastfeeding is so important and if you give a bottle your child won't be healthy. I know that they SAY it is better for a baby and no allergies. Well I know kids that were breastfed and have many allergies. Anyway I could go on forever about that but I am breastfeeding and doing my best. So my first well visit at the new pediatrician was great! They make you leave thinking you are a great mother. She checked everything and said she's perfect. She gained 1.35 lbs and grew 2 inches. So that helped me decide not to wake her every 2-3 hours. She is great she sleeps 5 hours at a time and this is through the night. When I get up to feed her I don't feel as exhausted. I also say that I haven't been sleeping for the last 2 1/2 years so I am use to this. It's better the second time around. The first child is a life shock, the not sleeping, the worrying and driving yourself nuts over every little thing. Here are her stats for 2 week well visit. Weight: 7.5 lbs Height: 21.5" Head: 34 cm She looks so different from birth, they change every day
Well the first few weeks, i'm sorry month I feel like it's so hard to get yourself together and get out of the house. Today Londyn was with the babysitter and I finally felt up to it to get out. My neighbor actually was clapping for me when she saw me with the stroller because it was 1 week after I got home.
